Tumbled bricks are given their softened, rustic character by being loaded into a rotating drum known as a Trommel. Either soft mud or wire-cut bricks may be selected, depending on the desired finish and performance characteristics. For a more authentic reclaimed appearance, pigmented clay and cement liquids can be gently introduced during the tumbling process, creating spontaneous splash marks in any combination of colours.

All tumbled bricks undergo a careful inspection process to ensure there are no broken units or chips deemed too large for use in a façade.
